  1. Standard loom in 20 series, but the sockets may not be connected dependant on the headunit. You will have 2 connectors(2 wires) these are the 110ac wires, your inverter is most likely not fitted. The 8 pin socket is the Rca aux input connector, you will find the other end probably loose behind the headunit.
  2. Did some research. Toyotas OEM Wipers for the alphards used blades provided by nippons blade division called NWB (nippon wiper blades) For the 10 series, the fronts are 26"(650mm) and 16"(400mm), with rear being 16"(400mm) For the 20 series, the rear is the same, but the fronts are 30"(750mm)and 14"(350mm) NWB blades are coded D** (** is the 1st 2 digits of the size in mm, E.g. D75 = 750mm) and the rear is GRB40 The 'D' is their design range that use graphite coated rubber. You can buy their HDA or HDB range (the frames are identical, but the rubber blade is coated in varying qualities of water repellant material that coats the glass (better performance with frost/snow)) You CAN buy just the rubber inserts (check that your existing blades are the nippons ones, they should have a metal clip/rail that needs to be removed and reused - the rubbers do not come with this metal part) I bought a set from amazon.co.jp (you can create an account in English) Search term for 10 series is NWB D65 D40 GRB40 Search term for 20 series is NWB D75 D35 GRB40 You can also buy DENSO, which is a decent OEM used by Toyota. Their largest blade, unfortunately, is only 700mm(28") so if you have a 20 series, you will have slightly less coverage on drivers side. DENSO codes are DU-070R (28") or DUR-065R (26") driver side DU-040(16") or DU-35(14") passenger side And DRB-040 rear. For all these wipers, the passenger and rears are about £8 to £12. The drivers side, being much larger is about £22 to £26 These are hook fixings, so any cheapo blade of manufacturers wipers will work if you get the sizes right. The rear blade has a different connector design, so probably best to stick with the NWB or DENSO designs. Opieoils (linked in a previous post) is very competitive of you are buying the denso blades, but you will be limited to a mac size of 28" If you still have the original NWB (Nippon) blades fitted, you can save money by buying the rubbers only, from Toyota, or amazon.co.jp
  3. It's possible, but complex and expensive. Active cruise control requires the lane keep assist camera, the microwave emitter, the pre crash braking system. These would all need calibration.
  4. As long as you have an electronic throttle model (very early alphards had cable throttle), the ecu should already be set up for cruise control, just need the stalk (and the little plastic trim cover for the steering column, if you dont like a big gap)

  6. Just go on ebay, amazon, or aliexpress and look for digital rear view mirror. You can get a unit that clips on to existing mirror, and usually come with a rear camera as well as a front cam. You can usually at the to act as purely a rear view using the rear camera.
  7. Press 1st button on top row of physical buttons. Now on the screen, press the top middle icon.
  8. The mirror site doesn't have the hybrid specific sections, and it's missing the 2004 facelift updates.

  10. Look on aliexpress, or ebay. There are more modern fob cases you can transfer the innards to. You will need to get the new metal key blank cut.

  12. Have you removed the plug on the stalk to check how many physical pins there are. Also, you sure both stslks are the same. The are two types, one is basic cruise control, the other is active cruise control (it will use senser at front of car, with camera to keep a safe distance between cars, it can actuate the brakes)

  15. On passenger side footwell, the bottom relay position (relay may not be fitted) will be the easiest. If the fuse is fitted on drivers side (mine was by default, check the fuse layout in an earlier post). You should be able to plug wires directly into the empty relay socket, and use the switch you fit as the 'wiper' arm of the relay.
  16. Well, the official connection is via the indicator stalk, with a signal sent to dash to illuminate the symbol. I imagine intercepting those will work, at the fuse on drivers side and the relay in passenger side. I'd have to look at wiring again to familiarise myself, I just bought a stalk for about £30
  17. Official Toyota Techstream software will connect to these vehicles. Do a search on forum, you can get the cable and software for under £50, it runs on a pc/laptop The hybrid system for the 20 series is the same as a 2nd/3rd gen prius, so other than the diagnostics needing to connect via the Japanese protocols (jobd), maintenence and repair is the same reliability.

  19. Interestingly, Toyota sell winter blades, where the rubber is deeper and stiffer, I guess to shift snow.
  20. Yeah, but if you still have the original Toyota wipers, these are just slot in rubbers. Less waste, less cost.
  21. E5 or E10 does not matter. The 1MZ-FE engine was built to E20 standard, so no issue with material breakdown. The key thing, is that this is a premium fuel engine, so you need 95RON to meet the Toyota recommendation. In reality, this probably means E5, because the majority of E10 always to be RON91 to 95

  23. Depends on headunit, some are the models used on exports, others are japanese market only. Post image of headunit
  24. Wrist kind of protection? Are they in toddler seats? If so, I used some heavy duty gsrden refuse bags, you could also use cheap shower curtains, then for the booster seats over the top. If you have older children, you could go with universal covers that suit for things like previas and VWs etc. Otherwise 250 sounds like a good price for purpose fitting covers that do not interfere with the tilt and slide mechanisms etc
  25. I agree with babu, the cost of the seats will run you to over £4k. You'll need to modify the rails, which will mean modifying the soundproofing layer and carpets, you may need to look at the side panels to ensure enough clearance, but I'm just throwing that out as a precautionary check. The loom will partially work, but you'll definitely need to do work there, either by getting a 30 series partial loom, or creating one from scratch. I think you would need to really love your 20 series to spend that amount of cash, I think it may be more cost effective to buy a 30 series. You can buy new front end that gives you a 30 series look, bonnet, wings, bumper, grill and lights, and I've even seen the rear converted by chopping a section of the rear, and fitting a new quarter panel to for the new higher up lights and new tailgate, bumper. Bonkers money, I'm not sure how the Malaysian owners afford it.
