I think link is still valid, if you have a relatively modern laptop, use the virtual machine set up(instructions at the link), it's a walk in the park, as it's all configured for you. Edit. Just checked. Links still work. Vci adaptor = £40. The techstream software is included, but simpler to download from the link on the Toyota ihud page, it was last updated a month ago.

According to the doc I have access to, it's a standard lead acid 12v battery, it due not need to be too large in capacity, as the petrol aspect of the engine is started via the HV battery pack The 20 series uses the Synergy hybrid system as on the previa/estima, so it's imagine the same battery type.

Headlight bulb replacement
Chris.ac replied to Jay Villa's topic in Toyota Alphard & Vellfire Club Forum (2008 - 2015)
D4S HID bulbs from amazon, about £20 a pair (replace both at same time, as once one burns out, the other is not usually far behind. Easy to do, wear gloves. Manual here: http://zatonevkredit.ru/repair_manuals/viewdoc_html/AWI4O_qhU9h2CeTmduUr/AWI4PsUCBFyj9RK37Lyi -
Radio bandwidth
Chris.ac replied to noelfad's topic in Toyota Alphard & Vellfire Club Forum (2008 - 2015)
If it's just radio, honestly, get a dab receiver or radio receiver that connects to the headunit via a selectable frequency that you can receive. I guess it depends on your budget and how integrated you want it. Personally, I use a radio app on phone and connect via Bluetooth (I have unlimited data on my mobile network) -

I thought this has been discussed in the 20 series forum, the 10 and 20 series are completely different security systems, there is no magic sequence of door open/close lights on/off that will work on a 20 series. If you have a laptop, you can buy the software and cable to program keys for under £50 (techstream and vci cable), Erased fob ( 3, 4 or 5 button depending on spec) for around £60. Programming literally takes less than 40seconds, but you also gain full diagnostics tool and dealer level configuration of the onboard control systems (Locks, lights, buzzer volume, courtesy lights, flashing indicators/beeps on lock/unlock, internal temp calibration, auto light sensitivity, auto lock on/off on 'Park' gear selection, window control via remote/physical key etc)

Orange on the switch is just paint, no led. Also, have you disconnected battery at some point? On 20 series, the rear doors and the boot have seperate ecu with memory, you need to manually open and close each door to reset, or disconnect battery, ensure all doors are closed, then reconnect battery. Refer to the electrical component guide here: https://slideplayer.com/amp/10248235/

Something strange just happened with my windows
Chris.ac replied to Alfie's topic in Toyota Alphard Camper Discussions
It's weird that it happened with keys on side, I'd open fob and check there is no surface corrosion on the circuit board, and check the rubber buttons for gunk, maybe some moisture/condensation built up? -
Press 1st button top row, press the top right screen button to turn off front display From that screen you can also press the top middle screen icon to open/close roof screen

I think I mentioned in another thread, that you align them with the mark on the headlamp lens (in your photos, you can see a small round circle on the headlamp glass. That's the beam centre, so glad that aligns with the garage beam adjuster equipment! Might have been on a 20 series post, the 20 series has small dimple marks on the inner surface of the lens.

in that case, as long as you have an alphard that is not early 2002, you should have plug 'n play CC -
Tinted rear window and car dash cam - camera performance in dark
Chris.ac replied to Teekay's topic in General Chat
You have to keep it in context with the year of manufacture. reverse camera had been available since mid to late 90s on Toyota, they then introduced front and side, expanding to 360, by the time 2015 rolled around is when they started installing digital rear view mirrors, and on newer models they now have telemetrics that capture dashcam for use in accidents. The tint, in fairness is a film, so you could use a scalpel to remove a small square of it. -

Chris.ac replied to Teekay's topic in General Chat
Look into the 30series parts, some of these had digital internal mirror that allowed you to either use it 'standard' mode as glass, or switch to the rear camera mounted at top of glass. Alternative would be to get a camera that uses one of the number plate light sources to mount a camera/led -

only easy on the facelift models as these had electronic throttle - I believe the 2002 has a cable throttle. Someone else might clarify, or you could check you throttle housing and see if it is cable driven
