    Hello katt don't get put off the toyota alphard is a bullet proof engine if it's been fully serviced only buy from a dealer if they specialise in imports I notice your Ipswich if your able to travel to Norwich you have got Andy who is andys Imports who all he does is alphards if you want his contact details pm me and I will give you them.

    P0171 is front lamba sensor or maf sensor not gearbox it's a fuel air ratio problem I would personally change maf sensor first as I have had same problem with my 3.0 also chuck in a bottle of cat cleaner in the fuel and give it a good blast on the motorway I have been adding cat cleaner now once a month and not had any problems since .

    I would have the rack checked there are 4 bushes pressed in to the rack these are common to fail on the earlier alphards that would give you lot of play in the rack

    These hud units won't work have tried myself it's like how most odb2 readers don't work with alphards it's because they don't have the protocols to read the ecu .

    If you just bought it I would be asking your dealer to sort the missing smart key you should have 2

    Yes it has keyless when you press black button car opens when you walk away it automatically locks only if you got the smart key

    This is the key fob you should have its also a smart key for keyless entry the bottom button near key ring is the tailgate button

    Mine has powered tailgate I can open and close with the remote same button on remote opens and closes tailgate.

    chris have a low coolant alarm fitted thats what i had done so next time water drops to a certain level a led light shows on the dash or if you dont see it a buzzer goes off

    If you want I can email you the wiring instructions for the speedo chip so you can check everything done correctly as said they are supposed to be soldered .

    Hi normally the transmission cooler is part of the coolant radiator if you give me your chassis number or reg I will confirm for you

    I would get the speedo chip checked behind the speedo sounds like it's a bad connection some fitters use connectors on the wires when really they are supposed to be soldered .

    There is no factory fitted alarm only a immobiliser which flashes a key symbol on clock face when activated
