Sounds like a bargain; but then you are doing most of the work !

I think many members, myself included, would like to know where you got the Conversion Kit from. Good luck, keep us all posted on your progress; maybe a photo or two !

Hi Jellybean, Thanks for the method. When finished, throw pole away, or take wife to hospital ! If I can get the correct struts, I'll get a correct mechanic, and HIS wife, to do the job for me

I just checked the part numbers for my MZ G 2006 in the EPC. They are different. I have a power door which may make a difference. I need to check more fully. So, if you have a Gen 1, as I do, proceed with caution. The Gen 2 units may not fit a Gen 1 correctly. I need some struts so will research this more thoroughly and advise.

Need NOx reading for 2.4L Alphard 2002
Rojie replied to AK Alphard I's topic in Toyota Alphard Technical Data
I just did ! Surprising result. First, thank you, Picasso, for bringing this to my attention. I was unaware of this initiative in these 'zones'. But I am even more confused now. You have a 2007, 2.4L; I have a 2006 3L. My search came back with NO CHARGE, in all of the zones ! ! ! Obviously that could (will) change. If I were you, I wouldn't believe me, so I'll send you my Registration number by PM, and you can check for yourself. Mystifying ! -
Insurance company requires tracker
Rojie replied to Chajoma's topic in Toyota Alphard Camper Discussions
Not me. Before doing anything, I would ask Direct Line for a list of approved devices. Otherwise you may fit one, and they still won't insure your campervan. They are many trackers to choose from. Real time trackers, activate after theft, etc. Your car will have a immobiliser, and cannot be towed. My advice ? Depends on the value of your camper, but I would shop elsewhere. I went with Scenic, part of LV, but, my guess is the value of your van will exceed their upper limit. There is a list of Insurers on a thread in this Forum, but not all will insure conversions. Persevere, and Good luck -

Which models/years have cruise control
Rojie replied to Chajoma's topic in Toyota Alphard Technical Guides
Diff ratio is actually the reverse ratio ! Silly me. Thanks Nov for the translation tip. I hadn't even thought about it. Fantastic facility. -

Thanks Picasso, I have learnt a lot from this. I had no idea some cities, other than London, had introduced ULEZ zones ! Confusing or what if different cities have different requirements. What a nightmare. When approaching these other cities, presumably, these ULEX zones are clearly identified ! -

Very useful, Nov, thank you. Bit of translating required to get all the info on my MZ G ! First time I have seen the gear and diff ratios. Excellent. -

Hi Picasso, I am confused ! What is ULEZ friendly ? Surely a vehicle is chargeable, or it isn't ! -

Rojie replied to AK Alphard I's topic in Toyota Alphard Technical Data
Hi Picasso, Yes. VERY Strange. I have a V6. 2006. To be honest, despite what the TfL website states, I have not been into London yet, but I do have relatives there so, sooner or later, I'll find out for sure ! If I do get charged, based on the website info, I will be having a discussion with TfL ! I did receive an email response from a dealer, in the Midlands, who advertised a vehicle that was ULEZ compliant that I thought would be chargeable. I don't remember the year ! He assured me he frequently drove into London without charge. Seems very inconsistent. Did you get charged, or is it 'just' the website saying you will ? -

Rojie replied to AK Alphard I's topic in Toyota Alphard Technical Data
Hello, Welcome to the Forum. I have a 2006 V6, and, according to TfL, it is compliant with ULEZ. Their web site informs me the vehicle is only liable for congestion charge. So, I guess it is worth checking on the TfL website. -

Just imported Alphard in to Australia
Rojie replied to skippy992's topic in Alphard Club Members Introductions
Hopefully it's all you need and most of what you desire ! Bureaucracy here is making personal importation more tricky. Alphards / Vellfires are on a huge popularity surge here at the moment. On personal imports getting a conversion, if desired, is a long winded affair. Many dealers import their own and prioritise their conversion capacity. Understandably. The independent convertors are VERY busy. ENJOY. -
Probably not, need a leisure battery that is. There are several types of cool boxes. Some don't even need to be plugged in, they work from ice packs. There are thermoelectric ones, with no moving parts except for the fan. I have one, in my opinion they are not very good. They are cheaper than compressor versions. Some of them heat as well as chill. Some struggle with achieving low temperatures Then there are the compressor versions, which I am currently researching for a purchase. These are more expensive and heavier. Leisure batteries are not cheap, and there is the cost of wiring them in to your van. The potential downside of not having a leisure battery is all the energy is being taken from the main battery. If you use too much energy you can drain the battery enough to prevent the van starting. You can buy portable jump starters to overcome that issue if it arises. Perhaps you could look at a gas powered fridge; some can use multiple sources of energy to run in. The downside with these is they need to be fitted and they are relatively expensive, some extremely so. They are normally fitted into you conversion; but you already have the gas installed. Whatever option you follow, the chest (freezer) type configuration usually are very good at retaining the chill factor. Most, if not all, 'portable' coolers are of the chest type.

Toyota Alphard Hybrid battery problem
Rojie replied to Debbie's topic in Toyota Alphard Hybrid (2002 - 2008)
Hello Debbie, Thanks for your reply. Hybrid vehicles, if you have one, should show a ready light soon after starting. I don't have a Hybrid so am very little knowledge of them. The Hybrid motor uses a 240v battery to power the rear wheels. There is also a 12v auxiliary battery. I am guessing the trouble you are having is with the 12v auxiliary battery. Presumably, the fault, whatever it is, can be rectified under the warranty. If you bought from a Dealer, VAT will have been paid. You are unlikely to recover that portion of the purchase price; but you never know. Can you tell me the model number you have ? It will look similar to ANH10W, ANH15W. -
Toyota Alphard Hybrid battery problem
Rojie replied to Debbie's topic in Toyota Alphard Hybrid (2002 - 2008)
Hello Debbie, good morning, Have you made any progress on this battery problem ? I am trying to help someone else who has a similar problem, also on a 2004 model -
The ABS system can create some sounds as a self test is performed, but that should only occur on start up
