  1. I bought some of these from the above mentioned company. Went to fit them yesterday, post MOT, and they don't fit properly. I have noticed the ones supplied to me are 21156SU. I am in discussions with the supplier, as they are just out of the return period !
  2. Hello Both, Welcome to the Forum.
  3. Well Done on winning the auction. Looks great. I hope it is a small crack, or a chip. They are probably repairable, without replacement. Lots of companies can do that. Replacing a screen, not so many. Good luck with the shipping and insurance.
  4. I got an answer back which wasn't helpful. I am trying again for you. Personally, I think it is a high risk strategy. Depending on the crack, it will probably fail the MOT. You will need an MOT before you can register the vehicle in the UK. Proceed with extreme caution is my advice !
  5. You need to check with your local garages. Most official Toyota Dealers will not work on imports. Snows in Torbay and Plymouth will. I use them myself. As Phil says, there is a lot of commonality of mechanical parts. I have the V6 too. Toyota Direct can source 'common' parts, genuine but not cheap ! Motor factors can supply oil filters air filters, oil etc. Do use genuine Toyota oil and antifreeze. I believe as these vehicles become ever popular parts will be easier to get.
  6. I have made a request to Autoglass on your behalf. Welcome to the Forum. I will let you know their answer. My guess is, it won't be quick, and it won't be cheap ! Anyone had the misfortune to need their windscreen replaced ?
  7. Hi Marty, Hi PaulE, Welcome to the Forum. Thanks Paul, this is really useful to know.
  8. Don't forget to tell your insurance company what modifications you have made ! May not be important in SA, but is in the UK.
  9. Welcome to the Forum. Thanks for reading the content. HAPPY Motoring
  10. Sounds like a bargain; but then you are doing most of the work !
  11. I think many members, myself included, would like to know where you got the Conversion Kit from. Good luck, keep us all posted on your progress; maybe a photo or two !
  12. Hi Paul, Welcome to the Forum
  13. Hi Jellybean, Thanks for the method. When finished, throw pole away, or take wife to hospital ! If I can get the correct struts, I'll get a correct mechanic, and HIS wife, to do the job for me
  14. I just checked the part numbers for my MZ G 2006 in the EPC. They are different. I have a power door which may make a difference. I need to check more fully. So, if you have a Gen 1, as I do, proceed with caution. The Gen 2 units may not fit a Gen 1 correctly. I need some struts so will research this more thoroughly and advise.
  15. Sorry confusing your engine with Nov ! I replied to your PM.
  16. I just did ! Surprising result. First, thank you, Picasso, for bringing this to my attention. I was unaware of this initiative in these 'zones'. But I am even more confused now. You have a 2007, 2.4L; I have a 2006 3L. My search came back with NO CHARGE, in all of the zones ! ! ! Obviously that could (will) change. If I were you, I wouldn't believe me, so I'll send you my Registration number by PM, and you can check for yourself. Mystifying !
  17. Not me. Before doing anything, I would ask Direct Line for a list of approved devices. Otherwise you may fit one, and they still won't insure your campervan. They are many trackers to choose from. Real time trackers, activate after theft, etc. Your car will have a immobiliser, and cannot be towed. My advice ? Depends on the value of your camper, but I would shop elsewhere. I went with Scenic, part of LV, but, my guess is the value of your van will exceed their upper limit. There is a list of Insurers on a thread in this Forum, but not all will insure conversions. Persevere, and Good luck
  18. ebay 284469821560. still not cheap
  19. Diff ratio is actually the reverse ratio ! Silly me. Thanks Nov for the translation tip. I hadn't even thought about it. Fantastic facility.
  20. Thanks Picasso, I have learnt a lot from this. I had no idea some cities, other than London, had introduced ULEZ zones ! Confusing or what if different cities have different requirements. What a nightmare. When approaching these other cities, presumably, these ULEX zones are clearly identified !
  21. Very useful, Nov, thank you. Bit of translating required to get all the info on my MZ G ! First time I have seen the gear and diff ratios. Excellent.
  22. Hi Picasso, I am confused ! What is ULEZ friendly ? Surely a vehicle is chargeable, or it isn't !
  23. Hi Picasso, Yes. VERY Strange. I have a V6. 2006. To be honest, despite what the TfL website states, I have not been into London yet, but I do have relatives there so, sooner or later, I'll find out for sure ! If I do get charged, based on the website info, I will be having a discussion with TfL ! I did receive an email response from a dealer, in the Midlands, who advertised a vehicle that was ULEZ compliant that I thought would be chargeable. I don't remember the year ! He assured me he frequently drove into London without charge. Seems very inconsistent. Did you get charged, or is it 'just' the website saying you will ?
  24. Hello, Welcome to the Forum. I have a 2006 V6, and, according to TfL, it is compliant with ULEZ. Their web site informs me the vehicle is only liable for congestion charge. So, I guess it is worth checking on the TfL website.
